Biografie

Jitse Tilman formed a band in 2008 which we now know as Complexity. The forming of this band has taken a while. That time has been taken to do a lot of jam sessions with some different people. He wanted people who were good, dedicated and fun to be around. What’s fun about our group is that we all have different styles of music we like. The genres we like are pop, rock, ambient, jazz, progressive, metal and melodic. We’d like to think that you can find all these different genres in our music, this way it is hard to put one label on us. Our band started practicing in an attic. But we found out that we needed more space to practice and we found it in Schoonhoven. In this early stage of our band we wrote 3 songs. We recorded these and we made our first demo “Altering Moments” (2009). This demo was a perfect place to start, we’ve learned a lot, but we knew it was time to get more serious! We started searching for places to perform, and we had our first gig in the autumn of 2010. It was a Dutch contest called the “Grote Prijs van het Groene Hart”. We made it all the way to the finals, being crows favorites all the time. Of course we wanted to win, but making it to the finals made us very proud because we had to compete against bands that had already done 50 gigs or more, some bands even had albums released.
